Sindi Dlathu is a South African actress best known for portraying Thandaza Mokoena on Muvhango, from the show's inception until her departure in 2018. She currently plays Lindiwe Dikana on the River.

Sindi  was a finalist when she was just 12 years old for A Shell Road Fame, a talent competition. Three years later, she won a national miming challenge after performing a cover for Aretha Franklin’s song in the finals. She got her big breakthrough in acting after she got a role as Sarafina's understudy on Mbongeni Ngema's  Sarafina Play. She toured the United States alongside other cast members as they performed in theaters. She has also appeared in movies Escape from Angola, Married, and Ngempela. She also appeared on Generations and Soul City

The actress shot to limelight after she was cast as Nomthandazo “Thandaza” Buthelezi in Muvhango. She was with the show since its inception in 1997 and until her exit in 2018. Thandaza was a business executive and the wife of Ranthumeng Mokoena in the popular series.

Mrs Nkosi is currently playing Lindiwe Dikana on the new popular series The River that first aired on Mzansi Magic on 29 January 2018. Lindiwe Dikana is a scheming and murderous mining magnate from Refilwe. She will do everything to get what she wants.

Sindi was born on 04 January 1974 in  Meadowlands, Soweto, South Africa. She is 47 years old as of 2021. She also has a twin sister Zanele Sangweni. Zanele Sangweni is married to Matome Meela who is a businessman that deals with used cars in Soweto.

The actress husband is Okielant Nkosi. Okielant Nkosi and Sindi have got two children. Not much information is known about Sindi's family as she likes to keep her personal life private. A lot of South African started speculating about Sindi's HIV status after she convincingly played the role of an HIV positive patient in Soul City.
