ANZO (1020 CARTEL) DROPS DEBUT SOLO EP “3310”

Flowing from the waves and mileage created by his lead single “Dlala”, which has been described by many as a fresh, new, energizing sound, Anzo drops his highly anticipated debut solo EP “3310”.

The cryptic and curious title is the postal code for where the talented rapper/singer is from in Estcourt, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Mastered and engineered by Ruff Nkosi, the EP is woven together by a suite of prolific producers – Bravebeats, Sly, Lunatik, Vuyo Manyike and of course Ruff – who each bring a unique sound, tone and feeling to the project.

Featured artists include songstress Umzulu Phaqa (“Umthandazo”), Sjava (“Izimpi”) and Aubrey Qwana (“Umngani Wakho”). Drawing inspiration from his upbringing and hometown, the EP is a fusion of contemporary Afro Soul and Trap sounds. Anzo shares experiences, memories and lessons with the listener and gives us insight on the journey leading to this moment.

Anzo has always expressed and created from a place of vulnerability and says, “it has been a long time coming; this project is personal to me and tells stories of things I have experienced and seen in my lifetime, which I strongly believe connect me to every single one of my fans.”
