Manchester City Offered Chance to Sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester City have been offered the chance to sign Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports. The 36 year old — who is out of contract at Serie A club next summer — requested to start on the bench ahead of last week’s season opener against Udinese, which in-turn sparked rumors he could be on the move.

Now according to Sky Sports News, Juventus have offered Ronaldo to the reigning Premier League champions who are in desperate need of a striker following Sergio Aguero’s move to Barcelona, with Juventus looking to cut the Portugal international’s £500,000 (approximately $655,000 USD) per week (plus tax) from their wage bill.

It’s also been reported that Ronaldo himself is open to a move away from Turin, although the club would request any club pay £21.4 million (approximately $30million USD) for his services.

In other news, Lionel Messi was forced to leave one of his trophies behind in Barcelona after his move to PSG.
