Actress Rami Chuene who is popularly known for her role of Tgom Mabuza on The Queen is set to join season 2 of SABC 2's Xitsonga telenovela Giyani Land of Blood.
Chaka Chaka who played the leading role of Gladys, the matriarch of the Mudau family will be killed and won’t be returning to the show.
The production of the Xitsonga telenovela is currently underway, and the new season of the hit Xitsonga novella is set to debut on the 1st of November 2021 and will air from Monday to Wednesday at 21:30 on SABC 2.
The telenovela was created and produced by Tshedza Pictures who are responsible for critically acclaimed TV shows such as The River and Legacy.
It is unclear at this stage if the actress has exited BET-Africa’s drama series Isono where she played the role of Jamima.
The Limpopo-born actress recently trended on social media when it was announced that she will be making her debut as a TV presenter next month on Mzansi Magic’s new reality show titled Away for Repair.
The show is a 13-week reality show that will showcase heart-warming stories of ordinary South Africans taking much-needed time away time to mend their broken relationships.
The actress will be co-hosting the show alongside well-known life coach Romeo Mabasa.
Mabasa will be guiding the participants who will include a pair of varsity friends, sisters, a married couple, and a mother and daughter.
The participants will be dealing with issues such as betrayal, yearning for acknowledgement of past hurts, repairing trust, unlearning toxic behaviours and many more issues.
