Nicki Minaj is finally back at the Met Gala. The rapper wore an all-black ensemble from Burberry by Riccardo Tisci. The showstopping look consisted of a body-hugging strapless leather jumpsuit cinched at the waist by an oversized buckle, as well as a dramatic feathered and multitiered train.
During an interview on the Met steps, Minaj credited her look to Tisci, the chief creative officer of the British luxury brand, saying she wouldn't have attended without his stylistic guidance. She added that she's "obsessed with the hat."
Minaj last attended the Met Gala in 2019, when she dressed according to the event's Camp dress code in a bubblegum pink dress with a dramatic train from designer Prabal Gurung.
She memorably told reporters at the time, "This is by Prabal Gurung, and this is how he interpreted camp, I guess. He established that for me, so the camp stuff, that's on him." In another interview with a reporter from Entertainment Tonight, Minaj added, "Up until today I had no idea what camp was. So, I don't even know if this is camp to be honest."
