Nhlamulo from Scandal’s real name is Matthews Rantsoma. He was born on the 25th of February 1995 in a town in Gauteng province called Tembisa.
Matthews attended Bokamoso Secondary School in Tembisa and holds a certificate in Performance and Theatre Skill from Market Theatre Laboratory, a local drama school that offers an intensive full-time course in theatre and performance.
The actor’s theatrical career began in high school. He took part in several theatrical productions in his school, precisely from Grade 10. Today, he has an impressive number of theatrical credits under his belt.
Matthews Rantsoma is a multi-linguist who fluently speaks and understands four languages. The actor speaks Setswana, Sotho, Pedi, and isiZulu fluently. His fluency in these languages has greatly helped him in his career as a performer and entertainer.
Rantsoa started taking part in plays in Grade 10. Since he left school, he has featured in a good number of local productions. Before Scandal, he appeared in projects like Hanni the Legacy, Gomora, Ngale Kwendlu, The Little Prince, Lampedusa, Encountering the Other, Inqoko, Love of the Nightingale, and several others. He has also played lead roles in works like Bapa and Wall and pillows.
The actor has also won an award for himself for being outstanding and creative. He walked home with the Naledi Award in the year 2019. He was recently nominated for the Best Actor In A TV Soap for the 16th Annual SAFTAs Award.
