Spiderman NoWay Home Official Trailer Teaser

The first official trailer for Sony‘s Spider-Man: No Way Home has broken the all-time viewing record set by Marvel and Disney‘s Avengers: Endgame.

According to reports, the No Way Home trailer earned a total of 355.5 million global views in its first 24 hours, shattering Endgame’s earlier record of 289 million views. The viewership of the upcoming film’s trailer also surpassed its 2019 predecessor Far From Home, which garnered 135 million views in its first 24 hours.

In addition, the trailer generated 4.5 million global mentions on social media in its first 24 hours — the largest of all time. In the U.S., it generated 2.91 million mentions, almost one million more than Endgame’s 1.94 million mentions; Deadline adds that No Way Home actually earned 1.96 million mentions within its first 12 hours.

The first trailer saw the return of Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as M.J., Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange. The visual also features Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, who reprises his role after 17 years, as well as hints at appearances from Electro (Jamie Foxx) and possibly Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe, who reprises his role after 19 years).

Spider-Man: No Way Home exclusively hits theaters on December 17.
